Programs, Platforms and Tools..
At the beginning of March 2026 I’ve had a major re-think about what I put in my business portfolio for my own use – and what I would be happy to show other people.
If you read my post “How To Tell If Your Online Opportunity Is Serious and Legitimate” it is a bit of an eye opener on the state of the overwhelming surge of ‘make money’ projects swamping that sector of the internet.
I’m tired of looking at “business opportunities” that promise the world. I must have joined 50 or more based on the sales page hype – just to have a look.
Most are these matrix based, low product value platforms where the people at the top cajole people in on the promise of spillover – that rarely happens for most and leaves them out of pocket.
I’m also tired of the prolific swamp of AI revamped digital products giving ‘short cut solutions’ by the same group of authors, that never really hit the mark or end up more work than was first indicated and need the upsells to function in some manner.
The reality is they generally deliver a ‘fairy dusted’ way of what has been done before.
So many platforms have a complicated and baffling payment matrix most people will never earn on – or it’s just a quick cash grab program for a leader pushing it.
In hindsight I can see how many programs perform with no genuine purpose or sustainable model.
They depend on pushing people in while relieving them of their money each month.
A true business isn’t just about making money; it’s about providing value, solving problems, and building something you can stand behind with pride.
If you can’t clearly explain (e.g. to your spouse or Mum) the genuine purpose of your “business” how can it be a business worth being proud of?
But don’t ignore what multi-6 figure earners like Maria Wendt have repeatedly said:

One that you feel has long term value and genuine potential for anyone who gets involved.

An opportunity that you can comfortably afford to subscribe to every month for a long time because, yes, there is a cost to running a business.
Work it hard and continually, through thin results and good results to the exclusion of other programs.
Do this until you have created great success!
Don’t give up as most people do.
Then you can repeat the process with a second business opportunity, and so on to create your own business portfolio, but remember:
“A dog can not chase two rabbits at once”
So, if you join two opportunity programs at the same time – you need to:
- Double your advertising budget, or
- Split the FUNDS you have between the two opportunities = diluted advertising
- Split the TIME you have between both opportunities – or double the time spent
You can imagine the increasing confusion..
One way round this is to pool your businesses under one roof and have a funnel with with one entry point. This way you promote 1 link – and inside are several business choices.
People still only have so much time and money, though.
Ignore all the hype advertising by many programs and Social media platforms about easy, instant overnight riches.
The truth is:
- Seeing big results takes time, probably months – possibly years
- Patience and consistent effort is always required
- Some monetary involvement is always required
- Continuous, ongoing learning is always required
It’s a sad fact, most people don’t last the course with ANY opportunity.
They become impatient and move on to the next shiny object – and more failure.
I hope that’s not you.. part of the churn
To make real money online, try to forget about the gimmicks and temporary hacks, focus on the basics.
A Note About A.I. Help
AI has some good uses, but the outpouring of mostly shiny object AI re-creation of digital products by authors who churn this stuff out has clouded the way for many people andalmost swamping the market.
I use it for help in creating my promotional material and in some cases to automate the whole lead capture and follow up.
